Happy Earth Day! The Garden Opens This Weekend

I want to wish everyone a very Happy Earth Day! And, I am looking forward to the day when every day is Earth Day and we won't have to "sell" people on the idea of saving the earth since it seems like a no-brainer to me.

I also wanted to let everyone know that the Academy Award nominee for Best Documentary, The Garden http://www.thegardenmovie.com/ is opening this weekend(April 24) at the Nuart Theater in West Los Angeles. The Garden is a powerful look at "the famous politicial and social battle over the largest community garden in the U.S., located in south central Los Angeles." All week there will be different speakers during the different screenings so make sure to check it out,http://www.landmarktheatres.com/Market/LosAngeles/NuartTheatre.htm .

And, for those of you here in the South Bay, there is a special "sneak" preview/screening tomorrow, Thursday, April 23 at Cal State Dominguez Hills, at 3 p.m. in Claudia Hampton Hall, WH D165, http://www.csudh.edu/csl/. The writer/director, Scott Hamilton will also be there!
